Project overview

Capi approached us with a brief to transform their soda bottles into a dazzling glass for the launch of their brand new Sunset Tonic in celebration of a good Melbourne dawn show. We ran through initial prototyping to understand the chemistry of their recycled glass and potential shapes it could adapt to. Capi settled on a decision that they loved our Stack Glass shape for the way it dispersed the liquid content’s colour in a gradient, much like a good sunset.

An upcycled Stack Glass for CAPI.

The CAPI team was searching for someone to make quality glassware out of recycled CAPI bottles, and Billy at Dokola said yes to the challenge immediately!

We collected some used CAPI bottles, and after washing and de-labelling them we donated them to Studio Dokola, who then created stunning glasses using the bottles. Each bottle was heated and reshaped into a stack glass, which perfectly suited a Gin & CAPI Sunset Tonic. Each step was collaborative, and Billy kept us updated on the process the entire way through. It was such an incredible experience and we're definitely keen to work together again in the future. Our request was executed to perfection, we honestly couldn't have been happier!
