Mezza Forma is shaped in hammered steel moulds, where the final form emerges through direct contact with metal rather than predetermined symmetry. Each piece begins with a loose outline; as the steel is worked, the mould pushes and pulls against the molten glass, allowing the material to find its own resolution. Rapid chilling against the steel leaves a mottled, ice-like surface, capturing the moment of contact. A wavering, uneven lip remains as a quiet record of the process, softening the form and giving each vessel its distinct character. No two pieces are the same—each is a singular outcome of heat, pressure, and hand.
